PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
 
- Inspector/ Technical Writer                                                   APEC/ Island Engineering, Galveston TX                                        May 2011- Present 
The responsibilities of the Technical Writer were to  conduct forensic investigations of residential and commercial structures to determine the cause and extent of structural and envelope failure. Following the investigation, the data was used to create technical documents used as evidence by insurance companies in damage depositions. Inspector conducts structural inspections to verify code compliance and adherence to engineering specs. 
 
- Architectural Plans Examiner                                               City of Pearland, Pearland TX                                                  September 2008- April 2010
The primary duties of the Plans examiner was to review architectural plans for IRC/IBC code compliance. Secondary duties were to participate in pre-development meetings to determine project requirements, cost, and feasibility for permit issuance as well as conduct site inspections.
 
- Community Designer                   Office of Recovery & Development Administration (ORDA), New Orleans LA                       Feb 2006-August 2008
Following Hurricane Katrina, Ths position was created to promote commercial & residential development by designing aesthetic and safety improvement options, offering tax incentives, and aggressively marketing the Primary target Areas. The result was approximately 80% economic and population growth in 1.5 yrs. Other duties included market research and creating marketing material. This position was eventually converted to Plans Examiner when the contract ended.

- Design Consultant                                            Williams Drafting & Design, LLC., Houston TX                                                          May 2002-Aug 2010
The  duties of the Design Consultant included  managing operations, ensuring cost efficient production, and advertisment. In addition, this position was also responsible for client consultations and presentations as well as hiring and managing sub contractors.
